I have been eyeing this one for a long time, its colors seem really interesting. How would u rate it ? Title: Re: Key Largo Post by: Charlie on September 02, 2009, 09:12:36 AM Key Largo has unique coloring in the flowers that I find very appealing. I generally like bright colors or pretty color combinations but some browns also get my attention. The original seedling plant of Key Largo grew to 8 feet and seemed a pretty good bush. I still have a photo of it (below) where I am shooting upwards toward the flowers because they were blooming so high off the ground. However, the cloned plants are harder to manage. They are strong enough but they resist branching and take a lot of pruning the first couple of years to achieve a muliti-branched mostly upward growing bush. It is a good bloomer, a trait inherited from Fifth Dimension. It's other parent is a purple double, Joan Hingerton, an older cv from Joe Ludick. The colors vary from a bronzy warmer color to a darker purple overall color.
