Title: best Temp for blooms Post by: topshelf12 on May 07, 2012, 11:38:59 AM Hi Charlie,
What should the minimum low temp in the greenhouse be in the winter for a at least sporadic blooms thanks Norm Title: Re: best Temp for blooms Post by: Charlie on May 07, 2012, 06:28:19 PM Hi Norm, there's not one simple answer because it also depends on how much sun and how warm the daytime high is. If you get a lot of sunny days that raise the daytime temp to 80F and above then it can go as cold as high 40's at night and still get some blooms. A more common scenario is lots of cloud cover and days that are also on the cool side. In that case 50F is the lowest and every 5 degrees warmer will give better results. I keep mine at 60F low during the winter and see growth and blooms at that temp.
