Title: Tigerama Post by: helixturnhelix on July 03, 2009, 11:31:46 AM I have a small plant of this cv that was a single stem so I pinched the top. It only grew a new branch in the place of the old one, no new branches. Is this cv a poor brancher?

To force more branching you can let the main or any stem grow longer and then make a harder pinch, cutting closer to the base of the stem instead of just pinching out the growing tip. I would not call Tigerama a good brancher but it does branch some in response to pruning.

It is a graft only variety that has an excellent flower and has been used to make some pretty seedlings around the world. It's definitely worthwhile in my opinion.
