Deep Purple has continued to grow into very nice bushes with pretty solid purple flowers. When I think back to how bad the bushes of lavender/blue flowers were 10 years ago - well, they've come a long way, baby!

Title: Re: Deep Purple Post by: Doll on April 18, 2011, 03:52:24 PM Kerry, if the temperature is cool where you are that is the most likely reason. When my Deep Purple bloomed over the winter they were reluctant to open all the way. Now that it is warm they open up with no problem.

Anytime hibiscus are being grown indoors, under artificial lights, on balconies, or any other situation that is not natural to them they can do strange things as they react to the local conditions. Usually it is not a big problem and is often temporary so you just have to go with it and see what happens.
