Title: Sleeping Beauty Indoors Post by: Cindy on April 11, 2009, 07:28:52 AM Here is my new favorite indoor hibiscus - Sleeping Beauty. Isn't she gorgeous?

I need to move it to a shady spot outside to see if that helps. But inside my house, it blooms with beautiful colors every time, the colors and blooms last for several days, and it blooms a LOT! I'm looking forward to seeing some blooms as colorful as the one on Cindy's plant. That gorgeous flower photo actually prompted my purchase.

It changes drastically with the weather - with both temp and sunlight. It's so, so strange. But I like all its colors, and can't really decide which one I like best. I suppose the most colorful look is best, but the other looks are still so different and interesting.
Mine just bloomed again today too. It's still a bit reflexed and will flatten out in a couple of hours, but this is the look today. When high temps drop into the 70's and 60's, it will get all its colors back again. It has led me to a fascinating study in plant pigmentation! Cindy |
