Title: Pruning and Supernova
Post by: Louis on December 05, 2009, 04:16:31 PM
hi charlie,

i totally agree with you on the pruning. i have 6 plants, 5 of which are in 6 in pots and they are all blooming. i will wait on those 5 until they get a little bigger.

my biggest plant is in a 2 gallon pot, its belle, and it has 9 vertical branches of various heights. what i do is:

on the tallest branch, and they are all full of buds, i pinch the growing tip and let all the buds flower (i am a skinflint on blooms). after all the blooms have bloomed, i cut the branch by 1/3 or more down to a node that will give me the growing pattern i want. and within one week, there is new growth there.

see the attached photo, the new growth is only 2 weeks old. and btw, i am using supernova and i attribute lots of new growth to it.
