We added 6 or so new varieties and some that were sold out had more plants added so they were available again. The next newsletter that should be sent on Sunday will show the newest varieties. Next major update will be the end of February most likely.

Just type your email address in the blank space and it will come to your email inbox once a month. The Feb one went out this morning but you can view the current issue and 1 year of back issues at the "Newsletter" link which is http://www.hiddenvalleyhibiscus.com/newsletters/february2010.htm

I held off replying because I wasn't sure but it's looking good for Saturday. We had quite a few new plants to organize and today I'll be taking an inventory of them, then Cindy will update the store with the ones that will be available for spring shipping. Some of these are unnamed new varieties that won't be in the update. Anyway if all goes well the update will happen throughout the day Saturday. Lilliflorus I almost got Bedazzled and Winter Lights but we were too slow on Winter Lights and my better half is against doubles now so no Bedazzled. It was hard enough to convince her to go for Delicious Fantasy. Anyway we already have Standing Ovation one of the parents of Bedazzled. BTW, although Dupont roots this one and so did I in previous years I decided that it is such a poor grower that it could use any help it can get so this year the Night Runner's were all grafted. As bad as the bush is, the flower is pretty incredible.

Post by: Charlie on March 10, 2010, 10:00:58 AM As it happens I am potting up 4 inch seedlings to 2 gallon pots today and making permanent labels for them. Out of the first 50 there were 4 Creme de Cacao x Night Runner. I can't recall whether any of the others are Night Runner crosses but expect to pot up all the seedlings during March and will notice as I make tags whether there more with NR as parent. I hope so, despite the execrable bush!
