Post by: Nievesgirl on October 29, 2009, 10:02:13 AM
How is Elephant ear ? Is this CV totally white ?

Elephant Ear has been around awhile now. Like most whites in cooler weather it can take on a pink or yellow cast but it is mostly white. It's particular claim to fame is that some of the blooms are pleasantly fragrant. Also has a nice bush.

Byron Metts has an impressive flower - all white, big at 7-9 inches, and with a heavy, crisp texture unlike most other blooms. The bush is OK but tends to sprawl so takes some training if you prefer well formed bushes. It was a breakthrough in solid white flowers when introduced and there is still nothing clearly better as a solid white.
