Title: Valentine's Day Post by: Charlie on December 13, 2008, 07:16:16 AM Valentine's Day is one of those varieties that is best seen in person. The boldness of the bloom shouts out across the garden or greenhouse. The unique combination of reds and pinks with a big dark eye is truly eye catching. The big 8 inch blooms are almost always well formed and presented on the bush. Its' pedigree is sound, High Voltage x Flash Dancer (The Path x Sun Shower) - all large flowers with vivid colors. We finally have a good supply of this fine cultivar, and I hope to hear from some others of you who grow it elsewhere in the coming year.

The question is - can you make yourself prune it or will you wait for the buds to open? It won't really matter as long as you prune it sometime before winter sets in.
