Hi Charlie,

I've been hoping to see these cultivars in the store for quite a while. Are you still propagating any of them? I've also been wondering about Mystic Pink which is mentioned very favorably on your Hibiscus Care CD.  Do any of these fall into that difficult to propagate group?

Cindy's Heart was recently propagated, and if all goes well we will have some of this excellent, long lasting flower next year. Flash Dancer failed last time I tried it but hopefully will succeed this winter.

Double Trouble turned out to live up to its name too often in that it makes more buds than almost any other hibiscus I have grown, but then drops them before they open most of the time. Too frustrating! I wasn't planning on growing it again but am wondering about one thing. I have too many plants and too many varieties to single any one of them out for special treatment. If they don't do well with the same treatment that the whole greenhouse gets, then they are not propagated much or at all.

That is not the case for most people growing hibiscus at home and I have seen some examples this summer of people doing a great job growing some varieties that I know are difficult without careful observation and care as needed. It could be that Double Trouble can be grown well and it would bloom well if treated the way, Magnifique for instance, has to be treated in summer to keep her buds on her and the flowers opening. So maybe I will do a few Double Troubles because the flower is excellent and the potential for lots of flowers is there if we can get the buds opened without falling.

Something to think about, anyway.

Thats good to know about Cindy's Heart.  It sounds really excellent.  I also remembered you mentioned another variety High Drama, that was also an excellent flower.  Do you have any pics of this one? :)
