Charlie, does Buttercup seem to tolerate full sun pretty well?  I know it has an Australian parent... I'm trying to decide which of my cultivars are best suited to living on the southern side of my house.

Yes, Buttercup lives in our yard where its all day long sun and handles it pretty well. Just remember the more sun the more water it's likely to need.

Thanks, Charlie!  I am looking forward to Buttercup's blooms this year.  It bloomed once for me last year in its little 4" pot and the flower was lovely.  I really like the lavender eye.  Do you happen to know if Buttercup will set seed?

Hmm. I know I have some crosses with Buttercup, but can't recall if it was pollen or seed parent. I have gotten several lookalike flowers from using it, one of which may be a keeper because it is different enough to be unique. When I see its tag again I will pay attention to the cross and let you know if it was the seed setter. I sort of doubt it but I'm not sure.

Charlie, does this one root on its own or do you need to graft it?  Seems like it is a must have cv!  What a beauty!  Do you have any of these in the pipeline?

Kristen, to my disappointment it is only an occasional rooter so I don't bother to stick it anymore. I do need to get it on the grafting list though because as you said it should be on the "must have" list. There are similar ones around but they are either a lot smaller or don't have as good color.
