Title: Gypsy Bride
Post by: Darkhorse on July 29, 2009, 10:29:52 PM
I'm starting to develop a "thing" for this cv too...  anybody have it?  Do you like it?  Charlie, are you fond of this one?

Cindy loves this one. I like it, too, but somehow got down to one stock plant of it so we only had a dozen or so plants of it available this year. I will be propagating it again soon for next year. It's a good grower and a good bloomer and would make a fine addition to anyone's collection who likes the flower.

Ok, thanks!  I really like the ruffly texture of the bloom on this one.  If it has good pollen and/or sets seed, it might be a good cross with something like Belle for another quality pink seedling.  Hmm, I might try that if I can get a GB next year... :)

Charlie are there any 4" GB's on the way?

Hi Jordan, it looks like they are all in 6" this year. Next time I get a chance I'll start some more that will be in 4" later this summer. Gypsy Bride was Cindys favorite hibiscus the first year she was here with me.
