Was doing great, flowers, new growth, potted up into Charlie's Own Best Potting Soil, living in a location all the hibiscus just love, carefully fertilized with HVH fertilizer, all watered the same way. Then the leave color very slowly fades, turning a paler and paler green. This does not look like tbe yellow leaves pictured in other threads; all the leafs are fading uniformly and the same way. Finally they are starting to wilt. Any last ditch ideas? Ideas for next time
? Title: Re: Slip Sliding away Post by: Cindy on September 06, 2016, 05:51:59 PM Sounds like a root disease. Kona is a strange one. We have seen 50 year old plants in southern CA but have also seen young ones die without obvious cause. It might do better for you in the ground if that is an option.

http://www.carolinafoothillschamber.com/carolina-foothills-climate/ but we have found the summers brutally hot and the winters miserably cold except for the first winter we were here (2011-12) I did winter over a Rosemary bush under a protective tent. I will try that. Up to now we have brought every thing inside but with a sad mortality rate. |
