What I mean is that most all the limbs seem to be on one side of the plant. I have it in an area that gets good afternoon sun. Would it help if I turned it so that the area with the least growth is facing outwards? It's in a very large pot and other than that is doing great since I got rid of the spider mites.

I rotate my potted hibiscus a quarter way clockwise every 2 weeks, otherwise they do what you described, grow lopsided, especially if they are against a wall or something. Rotate that plant to the other side and you should get the results you want in a few weeks.

Thanks Bradley, makes sense, I'll give that a try. Now the deer in town have started their feeding on my plants, stripped quite a bit of my Hibiscus off last week and ate most all of the Moss Rose I had growing in the same pot. Makes me so mad!

  I turn my pots every 5-7 days most of the time 180 degrees to prevent stretching allow the light source to reach all parts of the bush.      I don't like it sometimes because I'm looking at the back side and can't see the flowers. 
Sometimes if the main stem on a younger cv is curled, I will keep it facing a certain way to help straighten out the stem and shape the plant.
Everyone's situation is different and you may need to prune the full side of the bush to encourage new growth on the bare side.    I strongly encourage pruning in general, especially while young, but if  pruning is not done correctly it can make the shape even worse.     HVH has great information on their website about pruning and shaping.

Thanks Kyle, I'll have to take a look and make sure it's getting sun all around. I think parts of it may be in shade as I have it set to get the afternoon sun. I may have to pull it out further. I will check the 'How to prune' on the site also.
