Title: Temperature in the 40's Post by: Paul on September 10, 2012, 05:58:50 AM Hello everyone. We are having a free sample of fall weather in my area today. Tonight's forecast is for a low of 46. I'm just wondering if it will be ok to leave my hibs on my deck, or should I bring them inside for the evening? The high the next day is forecast as 77 and the low's in the 50's the rest of the week, so I figure leaving them out for the night should be ok. I just thought it couldn't hurt to ask in the interest of protecting my investments. :)

My plants are still outside and it has been getting down to 50ºF here at night. However, they're all packed in close together, next to the wall of my apt building, so I think they're staying warm enough. Also, there's no wind or rain (dead calm) to stress them out, and it's been sunny and upper 70's/low 80's during the day... So far, they're doing just fine. I don't think I'd leave any "babies" out though (my outdoor 'biscus are all HUGE). Deb ;) Title: Re: Temperature in the 40's Post by: Paul on September 10, 2012, 05:48:42 PM Thanks Deb! They updated the forecast and now the low is going to be 41. So the temp will be below 50 for about 6 hours. Ugh! Lol I really don't feel like bringing them all in. I might just bring in my "babies" and put the rest up close to my building. After a 12 hour shift I don't really feel like bringing in the 30+ plants. Ha ha. Thanks again!
