Title: Foxy Lady
Post by: topshelf12 on January 08, 2012, 03:39:48 PM
Is anyone growing this hib? I really like the colors. Kerry I saw you were going to get this a couple of years ago in one of your post. What type of grower has it been for you?
Thanks
Norm

Very few have been shipped.....not an easy one to propagate.

Below are 2 photos, the first showing full color on opening and the second with more silver after the red tones fall out due to sunlight.

 Thanks Charlie,
I updated my wish list with this one on it. It seems I tend to like the ones that are difficult to propagate doesn't it?

I bought Foxy Lady in late November 2010 in 4" size.  The 1st pic was taken early April and the 2nd mid May of last year on a still young bush.  The plant was growing well and setting lots of buds before a spider mite attack set it back a bit but the bush seemed to recover nicely.  The plant is still small in a 6" pot now but I expect it to really take off this spring.  I love the bloom's colors.

Dave, I like your version with the purple cast to the bloom. Very nice.

Norm, another round of propagation is about to start so we'll give this one another try.
