Title: November Mystery Bloom Post by: farmer d on November 08, 2011, 07:13:39 PM OK here is another one. The cooler weather has some great effects for sure. In a way this is turning into stomp the Chris quest which I am not succeeded at. Jordan you seem to be right on continuously too.

I was trying to figure out the background which didnt fit with palm springs (although in the winter it can look like this) but Deep waters fits the position in Darrens yard, so I am inclined to think that it is Deep Waters now. Behind Palm Springs is a brick fence, but behind Deep waters is a chainlink fence overlayed with bamboo, which if you look back at previous photos Darren posted of DW, you can see this same fence in this picture :)
If it is Deep waters I am surprised that it isnt more vibrant, with more defined rings in cooler weather, or is this one htat was attacked by the spidermites? I'll start taking the pics and cover up the background to really make it ridiculous.
This one had spider mites and had a long term issue with where I planted it but the last 2 months it is doing much better and now is blooming again along with lots of new growth at the base of the plant. So like Summer Fun I think the lingering effects of spider mites have muted the colors. You would think this cool weather we're having would make the blooms more dramatic in appearance, not less.
