I absolutely love the colors on this one, but the bloom form in the photos seems a little bit loose and floppy like they haven't opened completely.  Is that the typical look?

Dave, I'm not quite sure what you mean. The bloom in the upper right corner of the page has one torn petal, most likely an accident from being forced open. The bottom photo shows 2 blooms together that are pretty typical. The form is not perfectly flat and perfectly round but has interesting and varied shape that I think goes well with the colors.

Charlie, sorry I wasn't more specific. I disregarded the bloom with the torn petal and was referring to the other photos.  I prefer a more flat bloom form but there's nothing about this bloom that would keep me from purchasing one if I ever have the chance.  I was just curious.  Apparently there's going to be a very long waiting list for this one. Sigh

Thanks,

I think this is one fine specimen bloom for Kilimanjaro.  This CV is special as you don't find too many that can have such a dark uniform purple body.  And then to be fringed by white - what a dream contrast.  All on a large bloom too...

Another aspect I love about Kilimanjaro is the look it has in spring before the hot weather hits and it goes all dark purple with the white splashing.  The deep pink/dark purple contrast is really stunning!
