Great blooms everyone! Erny, your Magic Crystal looks amazing! And I love how pink your Polar Bear bloom is! (Quickly becoming one of my favorites!) Darren, I love your Flickering Flame pics! And your Muy Caliente blooms are killer! I think I must have one. LOL But running out of room here. LOL Patrick, Black Jack is stunning and love the look of your Sky! Very different than the blooms I get. And everyone's Cinnamon Splendor pics are amazing. Stop tempting me! LOL  Some blooms for me. These all bloomed yesterday, but of course I was working a 12 hour shift (which is when they like to bloom). I wish I could catch the opening colors before they fade.....(sigh). Patrick, I agree on the foliage of Luck Be A Lady--one of the nicer bushes I have.
Paul, really nice colors on all your blooms.
John, the color pattern you get on Rainbow Sherbert is really special.
First blooms for me today on Raku and Dapple Dandy. Still fighting the thrips so, unfortunately, lots of scratches here and there. I gave everything a good dose of spinosad yesterday before leaving on a 2 1/2 week trip today. I explained to my wife that we couldn't leave because I would miss all the first blooms on the cvs I recently planted, but she didn't understand.

Paul - Muy Caliente is one heck of a bloomer, it has buds all over the place so if you can get it you'll be very happy with her.
John your RS and CH are so pretty!! Your's have the look I hope mine one day will get too.
Erny - have a great trip! I know the feeling of missing all those first time blooms...Your Ay Caramba is so awesome with such deep colors today! Also loving Raku and Dapple Dandy which I don't ever remember seeing either having pics posted before so very exciting!
Good day here finally! BP is easily a 10"+ bloom

A couple of first time bloomers for me this morning!! It always feels like Christmas morning when a new bloom opens up that you haven't yet seen in person. First up is Ingenue. Such a beautiful flower! I bought this plant as a 4" last summer. Its nice to see it finally bloom! Second is Appassionata. I got this as a 4" this spring, so I am surprised to see it bloom so early. I was worried this bloom wouldn't open since I had found some bugs snacking on the unopened bloom. I quickly treated the plant and hoped for the best. Also an amazing flower! The pictures don't do it justice. Such an intense combo of reds and purples! Great work Charlie! |

Paul it is great to see Ingenue blooming for you. I like the spots on your bloom. I look forward to mine blooming sometime soon. Apassionata really looks like a very unique and striking bloom. Glad you were lucky enough to grab one as I remember it sold out in seconds...

I think it is safe to say yesterday's Bridal Path bloom was the biggest I've ever had for any of my plants so far.
