I have noticed some crosses I do the seed pod stays in the green state shown in the picture. I have some that have been that way for 4 months. Why does this happen?
thanks

These are called "false pods". Sometimes the signals get mixed up when the flower is pollinated but no viable seeds form. The plant then forms a pod but no seeds.
Once you crack these green pods open they will turn out to be empty of seeds. In my experience you don't have to wait longer than 10 weeks to check - by that time the pod will have ripe seeds or no seeds at all.
Of course, most pods will turn brown/black and crack open by themselves when the seeds are mature.
