Which Fertilizer Should You Use?

If you are a beginning hibiscus grower visiting our Fertilizer Store Page for the first time, all the choices there can be confusing. Which ones should a beginner start with? Each product we sell is for very specific growing situations, so let's figure out what your situation is.

♦ Your hibiscus are in pots and you bring them indoors for part of the year:
Use Houseplant Formula
This is a low-growth, high-bloom formula that will help keep your hibiscus small enough to stay indoors for part of the year, while making them bloom as much as possible in all conditions. This product is designed to: Do not use any other products with the Houseplant Formula, because it is made up of very large doses all of our nutritional products, including our Special-Blend Fertilizer, Hibiscus Booster, iron, magnesium, Growth Enhancers, plus some root protectors. Continue to use only Houseplant Formula even when you put your plants outside in the summer months.

♦ You have lots of time to care for your plants, and you fertilize by hand frequently:
Use Special-Blend Fertilizer & Hibiscus Booster
Use these products together daily or weekly for best results, or at least twice per month. These are the products we use in our greenhouse.

♦ You are very busy and rarely have time to fertilize?
Use Timed-Release Fertilizer
Use the Timed-Release Fertilizer 2-3 times per year. However, this is not a complete fertilizer, so you will need to supplement with Hibiscus Booster & Special-Blend Fertilizer as often as you can find the time. Once per month is ideal, but if you can't manage that, just use them to provide the missing nutrients whenever you can.

♦ You have a fertilizer injector system?
Use Special-Blend Fertilizer & Hibiscus Booster
Use low doses for continuous feed systems that provide fertilizer with every watering.

♦ You live in the desert and know you have an alkalinity problem.
Use Special-Blend Fertilizer, Hibiscus Booster & add 1 tablespoon of vinegar per gallon of fertilizer water.
Use these products together daily or weekly for best results, or at least twice per month. These are the products we use in our greenhouse.

All of these products are designed for in-ground hibiscus in order to:
