Welcome to Orange County, just outside Los Angeles, California. This is Erny who planted these hibiscus in his bare garden plot just 3 years ago.

Erny lives in warm, sunny Southern California, a few miles from the Pacific Ocean, just south of Los Angeles.
Here is Erny's garden 3 years ago, in August 2012, right after he planted his hibiscus.
Here is Erny's garden now, in August 2015. Erny has his hibiscus on drip systems with fertilizer injectors attached to them, so they get a small amount of Special-Blend Fertilizer and Hibiscus Booster in every watering.

Most of Erny's varieties are our HVH cultivars. We love seeing how large, fast, and lush they grow planted in the ground in his warm, mostly frost-free location. The key to this kind of growth is consistent steady fertilization with both fertilizer and booster.

Erny doesn't fuss over his hibiscus too much. He sets them up with automatic fertilizer on his drip system, then just enjoys them. During the summer months, he keeps his eye out for pests, but other than that, he just lets them grow. The results are beautiful! Below are more of his hibiscus.
