This one is probably too easy but worth a shot...

Hm, Bridal Path?  I wouldn't have guessed that had you not just posted pix of it the other day.  hehe  I know it's not Vday b/c you said you were still waiting for buds to open.

Well, let's think this through. What happens in colder temps. The reds come out so I'm going to discount these petal colors and just look at the eye. Hmm, looks like High Voltage type eye. Then, check the color of the staminal pads - these are yellow, consistent with High Voltage but of course many others have yellow pads, too. Still, its a good way to add another piece of evidence. Now, consider that the reddish petals have that color only because of the cold. Subtract it and you get white with a pink blush. Then check the leaves for color and type of edge. Again, consistent with High Voltage or its offspring.

So, I say: Voila - High Voltage!

The moral of the story here is: Don't mess with Charlie.  He nailed it.

Chris & Lynette great job!!

I'll be really happy to see winter go and also quite sad as the colors have been just amazing.  This High Voltage looks nothing like what I've had before.  Lynette what is yours doing now?  I got some more blooms coming still.

Unfortunately I can see the plants are operating in half-awake mode so all sorts of weird things are happening.

I hope I get some more strange stuff and throw some more fun your way.

Good, Darren. Toss it out there and we'll see if we can figure it out. Some things I've seen on the forum this winter had me stumped. Hibiscus in Winter...........

Very good Charlie, I would not have got that in a month of Sundays.

In fact I would like to say very well done to everyone, how you manage to get blooms and keep going through the winter is amazing, I love my Hibiscus but I am not sure I could show such dedication.

The photo shows Pinapple Sundae in its new home, cheery picture of the left side of my garden this morning, should cheer everyone up in the winter.

Lynette - you're right it is really sad to see these blooms and nothing comes of them.  I've got a variety of problems on my plants but I'm doing everything I can to keep them happy enough to bloom.

My strategy right now is to load up the plants with as much energy and fertilizer as they can take while the weather is good.  That way if we have another tough stretch hopefully the damage is light and the bounce back is quick.

David - you have the Pineapple Sundae and I have the Rise & Shine.  Two similar plants that do make a happy corner in our gardens!  I never tire looking at them.

Beautiful, David. Cindy has always been a bit critical of formal style gardens but I think your rooftop has won her over because she always oohs and ahhs over it.  Smiley   It is very nicely done.

For me the yellow flowers are the cheeriest of the bunch. I like all the colors and find each has its own sort of psychological energy or effect, yellow being good cheer and optimism for me.
