Here is a great weapon against your poo flies. It is a green anole.
They are all over the Houston area and love to hang out on my hibiscus.
I know they eat flies because I watched one eat a fly.

Doll i love that picture,he looks a right cheeky chap. Like Dave in AZ [does that mean Arizona] we have a lot of gecko's,they are wonderful in the house but i have never seen any in the garden.

Hi David. Yes that's Arizona.  I don't have any out in the garden during the day anyway.  They hide under pots in the greenhouse and outside during the day. and I see a lot of them outside on the walls after dark.  My compost bin is full of them so I never turn the compost any more.  I had a major roach problem in there till the geckos moved in.  Every once in a while I'll find some baby ones inside the house but they don't do well. Outside in the garden the whiptails do the patrolling.
