I like the eye! Do you have any full bush pictures?
Did its parent Jazz baby have the same?

Florence Nightengale combined varieties that both were known for their eyes. Fortunately it also got the big flower of Rainbow Christie. Jazz Baby did not get the metallic eye of Jazz that is pretty unique but did get some nice color around the eye. Rainbow Christie has a large dark eye. Jazz was a 5-6" flower while best I recall Jazz Baby was an inch or so bigger and Rainbow Christi was an 8 inch bloom.
Photos of all these are attached below. I didn't find a full bush photo of Florence N, sorry, but the bush is upright and decent.
Once upon a time I grew a lot of Rainbow Christi and just found a photo of a big group of this variety that was used to take wood from. They're not blooming but the big, older plants look quite nice. A visitor is standing next to the plants for size perspective.

Charlie, a friend of mine has Jazz in the ground here in San Diego. It stands out amongst the others in their garden. Does this plant ever come available?

I lost my last Jazz plant a few years ago. If you or your friend come to one of our Open Houses this coming summer and want to bring a few cuttings of 'Jazz' I would be happy to graft it and make some available in the future.
