Charlie, does the temperature determine what color the bloom is or does it always vary?

In our conditions the flowers open red and then the red drops out and it becomes orange. Temperature and direct sunlight have a lot to do with the change. I need to take a plant of Wizard of Oz home and put it in the house with milder temperatures and no direct sun to see what the flowers do in those conditions. It's also possible in very warm places that the flower will be orange from the time it opens. I'm looking forward to seeing what it does for others in their locations.

Has anyone had any luck with this variety? I have had it for about a year and not one bloom Undecided

. Any ideas on how to kick start some budding?

Try potassium nitrate instead of fertilizer the next 3 waterings. If its in a pot and can be moved to more sunlight that might help.

1 tablespoon of potassium nitrate (sold as HVH Booster by us) per gallon of water and then soak the rootball. Don't spray this strength on the leaves.
