Sun Shower is an older variety, hybridized in Florida. It's big, splashy flowers have been popular coast to coast. Sun Showers bush is vigorous and can grow quite large, sprawling all over the area it is planted in. You can also keep it pruned and work with its shape to grow it into a respectable bush that still sports many 8 inch colorful blooms. Whether you let it grow wildly, which is its tendency, or shape it with staking and pruning while young, Sun Showers will always please with the nicely formed and abundant bright flowers.
We'd sure like to hear some other opinions about this variety. Anybody?

I found this to be an extremely hardy hibiscus, able to tolerate the Texas summer heat on my south-facing (and uncovered) balcony and the occasional freeze that we get here. I had a two-gallon plant that always gave me lovely blooms, but would never produce seeds for me.

It does hold up to the heat very well. For that reason alone it is worth growing for me.
