Hi Charlie,

I just got my 4 incher shipment today, and I have to say Carnelian and Dragon Slayer are a standout among them, I sure am getting excited about seeing them bloom and grow!  It looks like they both make great bushes.  I cant believe how many branches Dragon slayer has and it looks like it has a vigorous bush, do you agree?

I am looking forward to hopefully getting blooms before summer is out!

Hi Chris, Dragon Slayer and Carnellian are both quite robust. We'll have to see how they do in different circumstances but surely you will get blooms before summer is out! Dragon Slayer was a top favorite last summer when blooming on the seedling plant.

Thanks Charlie!

I think that seedling you used as parent for both DS and Carn, passed its great bush on to these two!  I cant wait to grow these babies out Smiley

Do you have any other pics of DS?  It looks like the only one on the site is taken with flash, so it would be great to see any others.  How does DS compare to other dark reds, black dream and black dragon?  Smiley

I found a couple of other photos of Dragon Slayer. It is a consistent bloomer with most flowers being similar. To my eye it is a very nice red, with a good touch of the "black". It's a shinier red than Black Dream, and not as black as Black Dragon.
