I had posted this plant photo a few weeks ago. i thought i would put it into this forum to see if someone can identify it. its labeled as Black Knight. Charlie, you are familiar with the real plant. is this it, if not any idea who she is?

I think it could be Black Knight.  I haven't grown BK myself but your bloom looks like the photos of this cv.

This same question came up in the forum in 2009.  Below is my answer to it then.

Wait a sec. I see your note about Black Knight and have to agree with you - it's not Black Knight. Black Knight does not have that dark eye. Its eye is a red color that almost exactly matches the rest of the bloom. I imported this one from Australia 10 years ago. Your photo looks more like Red Bomb, a parent of Black Knight. You can see both in the IHS photo archive and below is one of my old photos of Black Knight growing in the US.
