Well I made it to Seattle safe and sound, you were right Charlie it was probably the most beautiful place drive I've been on.  Here are some pics from Yellowstone (iphone), I could have spent two weeks there!  Sadly only had two days  

Also here are my hibs... They look really bad, but I gave them a double dose of supernova and it looks like the weather should stay nice for a few more weeks

Hey Chris, didn't expect to hear from you so soon. Your plants look nice and green, healthy at least even if suffering the indignity of being cut back. Mine have to deal with that twice a year or so but unless it kills them it should cause them become bushier, with more stems and more flowers following.

Do you already have a place to live? Got any good windows?

Those photos of the big wilderness remind me of simpler times and the wide open spaces I have known.

Hi Charlie,

I didn't expect to have internet for a week after I moved, but it looks like the neighbors are kind in sharing There is a large west window and the rest of the room is lined with north windows.  I will post pics of it as soon as I have it set up Its sad when I have so many windows, yet they are all full already

 I went to get get potting mix today and I bought this mix that is almost all coco coir (i didnt know this before getting it)  It seems to drain quick, so should I add perlite to it?  I guess its is just bugging me that it doesn't have little white flecks in it   What do you think Charlie?  Other ingredient include forest humus, bone meal, and blood meal.

Probably no need for perlite, Chris, except as you say psychologically.     Lots of people grow roses and other plants in 100 percent coco coir and when I did some experiments with different percentages of coco mixed with peat moss/perlite I found the results were very similar from one sample to the next. Your mix should work out well. Congrats on getting the west window, that should help a lot.

Thanks Charlie   I braved the rain and potted them up, I was still two pots short grrr, so I have to go back to the store tomorrow!  At least I dont have to water them after planting! 

If I can get any blooms this winter, it will be the ultimate testament to bright indirect light blooming!  I have a small Delicia Amoris, so hopefully it will bloom under these conditions.

Growing in So Cal check, High altitude check, now time to experiment with bright indirect light and mild temperatures.
