Weird Localized Leaf Death
«

I found this today on my Silver Memories while hosing down all my plants. Looks to me like the leaf death is concentrated around a single, major vein in the leaf. Like something got sucked into that one vein that killed the leaf around it. The rest of the leaf is fine, as well as the rest of the plant. Weird! Anyone seen this before? Photos are of the top and bottom of the leaf in question.

I've seen it before on a few of my leaves. I always thought it was heat damage.

I would say its a mixture of both the above answers, its definitely fert burn but if its its had some strong direct sun on it then it looks much worse. I have seen this on my cv's quite a lot.

Leaves are a renewable resource for hibiscus. Something happens to one and they drop it but soon another leaf grows back in. I've seen this type of browning from time to time but I've never seen it involve more than one leaf at a time. I would remove it and not worry about it because it is unlikely to spread nor does it mean anything is wrong with the whole plant.
