Depends on how many plants make it. We'll know in a couple of months. If not this year, than next. She's a cutie, isn't she. I did get seeds from her crossed with the much larger Berried Treasure. I would love to get a similar flower with the larger size.

She is, how big are the blooms? I take it that there will be a few available if you have extra after stock plants are made? A big bloom with that color pattern would be dynamite! Perhaps a cross with Silver Dollar?

Re: 08-7182 (BTBWild x April Showers)Hi Charlie! This seedling (and High Heaven) has been at the top of my "must have or die" list ever since I first saw photos. I love both of the variations of 08-7182 (BTBWild x April Showers) - Definitely worth the wait! Oh, and if I could suggest a name: "Crystal Blue Persuasion". The bloom pattern has a nice sixties psychedelic vibe & it could be named after an awesome 60's song, too (just like it's "mom"!)

I had forgotten about this seedling, but I agree. This would be one for my wishlist. The August look almost looks like White Diamonds to me. I wanted WD until I found out about its bush. Maybe this could be an improved replacement!

Solid Yellow - this is not new but I've never propagated it nor gotten rid of it. At first glance it is a plain yellow but the difference is that it has no contrasting eye, being yellow over the entire bloom which makes it a rarity. The form is nice enough with full overlap of the petals and some tufting. I'm curious if anyone would want to grow it.

Charlie, did you ever decide to grow this one. Maybe it was one of the new 86 this year and I just missed it.

Doll, I didn't do anything with it yet. One reason is that another solid yellow showed up among the seedlings, but this one with the Fascinating Foliage appearance. I may try them both and see if either or both root well enough.

I have a garden Hib here that is a solid yellow. Its ok, it blooms like crazy and sometimes at about 5 or 6 inches but the bush is hard work, I need to prune it about once a month. I am only keeping it now as I hope it may be a seed setter [I havent tried it yet] like the pink one I have. I have given up on trying to cross HVH x HVH, but maybe I will have more luck with a local garden Hib X HVH, maybe not but I will keep plugging away.

Chris, Cindy's thinking we should go to iPhones, particularly if I can run the Bento database that has the hybridizing info in it. I'm always wanting to look up something while in the greenhouse and never can do it.

Hi Kristen,
Charlie asked me to answer your Bento question. It's a nice simple, easy to use database program made for Macs, iphones, ipads, etc that loads pics as well as data. It's much easier to use than databases like Filemaker or MS Access, so even Charlie can use it! It prints out sortable pieces of spreadsheets without having to build separate reports. So when Charlie needs a print out of all new, unsold, unnamed blue seedlings, it only takes me a few seconds to print him a spreadsheet. Cool, huh?
With an iphone, Charlie will be able to access the database from the greenhouse and look up any hibiscus, see the inventory, pics, how many are sold, growing notes, etc. The greenhouse is just too hard on every type of computer, so we needed a database that would work on a cellphone or ipad type of device.
Probably more info than you wanted! Cindy

Thanks Cindy. Technologie makes for easy work! Charlie, Matt was a tech dummy, I got him to get an iPhone, now he doesn't know what he would do without it. There is so much at your fingertips with it. The ipod function and Pandora music is a must, especially while riding for me. The email, world wide web.... I can go on and on. You should join the rest of us, and become a mac!
