That porch with the overhand sounds excellent for hot summer growing of hibiscus. I have a similar porch that faces east and only the morning sun shines in on the plants there. I have grown many varieties there during summer and they do great.

I'm not sure about Burnt Saffron. My biggest plants of it get tons of sun in the greenhouse and have been making some great flowers as of late. The greenhouse plastic does filter out some light so it isn't full sun but they do get a lot in that location. We both have to experiment more with this variety, and find out where it likes to grow the best. Let us know!
