Thanks for sharing the pic..

That's quite a  journey. My first thought was Junes Joy. It might be a bit hard to id as there are so many that are similar. Nice bloom..

June's Joy is a pretty good guess except for one conflict. In summer and warmer conditions all my photos of Junes Joy show it with a wider and brighter edge. Your photo looks very similar to one I took in January here in a greenhouse. I would expect Vietnam to be warm enough to bring out the bright edge more so that is my main doubt about it but it does look very much like JJ in cooler conditions.

Malaysia is a very interesting country as far as hibiscus goes. I believe it is the national flower and it is used in ceremonies and has symbolic meaning there historically. We have sent hibiscus to Malaysia and I'm pretty sure they obtained some varieties from Australia which is a lot closer than USA. However, my contact in Malaysia said there is no hybridizing going on because it is always too hot for seeds to set. They might have figured out a way to overcome that but I think most exotic type hibiscus are likely to be imports.

Here are hot and cool weather photos that I have of Junes Joy. The January 1 is first.
