Hello, Charlie. Really like Lady in Waiting.Na how popular this hibiscus? Do it on sale in the shop? Tell us more detail about this class. The description is only this information.
"Lady In Waiting blooms with a ruffly, pink and white, cup and saucer bloom. The flower's texture is very heavy, and the flower lasts 3-4 days. The bush is strong and upright, with glossy foliage. A profuse bloomer, it's not uncommon to have several open blooms at the same time on a mature bush. Lady in Waiting won the International Hibiscus Society "Seedling of the Year" award in 2007. Its parents are Stormy Days and High Voltage."
What can you add?

Lady In Waiting is the result of an unusual cross, a dark smoky purple double and a big white single. Her Majesty came out of the same pod. Both are unusually good flowers in my opinion. Very heavy petal texture and long lasting blooms. The bush on Lady In Waiting is strong and upright but does not branch readily which makes wood less available. I have a few plants of this cv each year that are usually sold via the waiting list or when the store opens in January. It's not easy to propagate this one so I doubt if there will ever be many out there. I think we got the award from IHS wrong - if memory serves, Lady In Waiting won the trimester award that qualified it to compete against the other trimester winners for the annual award. I love the flower on this one, but it has been a very shy bloomer. These pics are from late October when it had several nice ones over a couple of weeks before the cold weather hit.

My LIW is a slow grower for me ATM. This one I got from a local collector so it's one of the ones I have to nurse to it's full potinental. The plant is healthy and has nice leaves but I may have to cut it back in march or April to get more branches on this one since the first owner didn't prune much. I have not seen it bloom yet so hopefully it will do better in my care this year

Hi Kerry, My LIW has been a slow grower since I've had it, at least 3 years now. It has been a reluctant brancher too. Two things I'm hoping will change since I've added Super Nova to my care program. Looking forward to seeing some bloom pics of yours.

LIW is on the slow side but if it does not get set back by something can grow quite large. I've had them grow over 6 feet in the past.
