Heat Loving CVs

I just got my Hot Pepper in the mail and it got me thinking. Do the heat loving cvs generally do well in hot weather only, or are they more hardy all-around and tolerate heat and cold equally well?

Hi, Darkhorse,
I do not know in general, but my heat tolerant cultivars (meaning the ones that bloom well in the heat, open full way, do not drop buds) do very well in all other less extreme and more favorable conditions.
