Last night I mixed up a batch of fertilizer and hvh booster along with supernova and dark energy. I am testing out Bart's method by using 2 teaspoons of special blend 2 tsp of hvh booster in 5 gallons of water.

Anyways for some reason , I decided to read the bottle of supernova and the dark energy. This whole time ( from the first day I got supernova and dark energy till now) I been using 1tsp per gallon of water instead of the recommed 1/2 tsp  Lips sealed

I don't know where I got 1tsp from. all well my plants look ok nothing seems to be wrong with them. I do notice outrageous grow on some of my plants. I think this may be another reason why my buds have not been dropping with thrips. yesterday voodoo and lady bug bloomed but they did not open all of the way. So I am thinking thrips are causing this but since I been dosing SN and DE in higher dosages it be the reason why no bud drop.

Kerry, I have been using SuperNova-HVH fert- and SuperThrive for the last three months.  Mixing it a gallon at a time.  All my plants are great, and I do water twice a day, varying the amount based on temperature.  I have not tried Dark Energy or HVH Booster, but I am going to add HVH Booster to the mix and try to get my Allure to bloom next week.

As the summer wears on here in Texas and we start to have normal leaf drop I think an adjustment to our watering regime is probably appropiate.

I have huge growth from Bridal Path since I started using SuperNova The plants are over 2 1/2 ft tall, and I put them in my planter boxes the first of June as 6" plants. I'll let you know how the Booster works out

John

I saw super nova and Soluble Seaweed extract at the local hydroponics store and I am tempted to get it.  Its just 40 bucks, so I wonder if it is needed for growing out good blooming plants or is it just something that is nice to have.  I think I will prob spring for this seaweed extract since it contains quite a bit more pot than the seaweed extract I am currently using as a supplement.

Charlie, do you use supernova on your plants in the green house or houseplants?

Hi Chris,

I use Supernova on the small plants when they get potted into 4 inch pots and on any plant that is struggling or seems to need a boost. I also give the garden plants a dose or two of it in early summer to help them come out of winter semi-dormancy. Because the greenhouse is so warm and humid and conducive to rapid growth I do not use it regularly because there is a point at which more growth is too much growth for a given pot size.

Cindy uses it as a staple of her Houseplant Formula and all our houseplants get it with just about every watering. It is cooler and much less sunny in the house so it helps keep the hibiscus actively growing in less than ideal environment.

But mostly I like it and recommend it for helping dormant but still alive plants start growing again. I've said this before but the technique we have had the best luck with is to mix a double dose of Supernova or a double dose of Houseplant Formula and fill a saucer with about an inch of this mixture. Then, place the pot with the "stuck" plant into the saucer, sitting in this mixture. If not using the Houseplant Formula, I would also add an appropriate amount of HVH Specialblend fert, and an extra helping of iron and magnesium to the Supernova for best results. In 2-3 weeks we almost always see new growth starting and a rich green look to the leaves.

Well I forked out the money for it because the burnished gold I just got looked a bit beat up in the mail, so I wanted to make sure it will come out of it.  The growth on the plant looks a bit young so we might have to wait till spring for me to send you some wood.  I also got a rosalind and Dragons breath because if I am going to get grafted varieties, they better be good ones Smiley
