Has anybody else had problems getting Allure to Bloom.  She has dropped every bud in the last three months. A very beautiful plant with lush green leaves and no bugs or thrips.  Help!

Have you done the paper test yet ?  I did not think I had thrips either but when I took a bloom off and shook it over a piece of white paper I saw the bugs.

Is it hot where you live ? it could be bud drop from the heat. If so try providing cover or shade for the plant.

My plants are recovering from a thrips infestation.  My first to drop buds was a Fiery Furnace during a heat spell, ironically.  I thought that's what it was, but when several of my other cvs started dropping, including 5th dimension, I knew it must be pests.  I had been picking apart every dropped bud and did the paper test several times.  Didn't see a thing!  I would spray for thrips with a new product I found (at Home Depot) called Ortho Rosepride 1x a week for three weeks.  If that doesn't improve the situation then another cause might be to blame.

Jordan , for some reason I am not getting bud drop even though I have thrips . I only notice thrips because I saw deformed voodoo magic blooms with scratch marks . I then looked at cinnamon girl and it has scratch marks on the blooms when they open.

Maybe those are two varieties that hold onto their buds even with a thrip infestation.  I remember Charlie saying Byron Metts was one that did that, and on the white bloom you could see tons of the little jerks running around.
