This spot is full sun and I have to pick cvs that will enjoy that location lol. The color scheme will be Warm

The center of the space will be for a 3 tier fountain that will hold succulents like so ( these will be the cool colors )

here is my list :
Acapulco Gold
Black dream
Byron bay rose
Corazon
Cosmic Gold
Creole Lady
Dutch Windmill
Hula Girl
Olympic Glory
Miss Fantasy
Simple Pleasure

Go Kerry!  I really like how you're planning this out.  It really takes a lot of thought and some strategic thinking to get the right plants in the right spots to accomplish in reality what is pictured in your mind.

Can't wait to see it as you progress forward.  Keep sending pics.

Thanks Guys Smiley

I decided to place the cv's via one solid , then one multi color, then solid etc...
I took some pictures of each cv onto my computer to see what they would look like together. I like what i see so far here is a screen shot Smiley

Looks great Kerry. I tried to enlarge it to see what cvs you have there but no success. Can you list them?

Very nice project, Kerry. How far from the ocean is the house? This question means more to people who live in southern California because the answer gives you a good idea of high/low temperatures, sunlight vs overcast, and wind direction (off the ocean or off the desert).

Good question Charlie , my bfs lives in San Fernando Valley in the city of San Fernando.
If we drive directly West from his house we will end up in Ventura which is about 53 miles away. If we go south to Santa Monica his house is 24 miles away. Santa Monica is the closest beach.
The Valley gets the hottest in the summer. It can also get the coldest. So far we are having 80 degree weather in the day and the nights are about 47 degrees. I wore sandals for a few days  Cheesy.

So, nice weather but a little cooler and hotter than Darren's location. Good luck with the plantings - we'll look forward to seeing how they do as they grow.

just an update , Plants at bfs look really nice all are full and , I have not experienced a lot of leaf drop. Only not blooms since bf does not fertilize them  Cry They have some blooms here and there. I can not wait to get them back home with me so I can feed them the way I want to lol.

Anyways, hopefully in March I will be moving into a house. I have been house hunting and I look at all the spots I can fill with hibiscus LOL. I am looking for a backyard big enough to build a small greenhouse.
