I noticed my Creme don't la Creme and Cindy's heart both have bumpy leaves that curl slightly. My other two small new plants Really Red and Ruby Tuesday dont do this. Is this normal for some types of hibs ?
thanks
Norm

Yes, it's normal for those 2 varieties, Creme de la Creme being the most extreme.

Charlie interesting you say normal for those 2, the problem I had was I was getting very dry bumpy leaves on a lot of my cv's, the worst offender [and still is] was Cranberry Muffin, so bumpy dry and curling up like a spoon. Now I cant remember where on the net I found the information but I read a lack of Magnesium can cause this leaf problem, so I started adding extra Magnesium to my feed once a week and the problem improved by about 80%.

Magnesium sulfate in the form of Epson Salts is easy to find and apply and should be provided regularly especially if Potassium Nitrate is used very often. Not sure how it would affect the leaves other than deepening the green color but if it does then so much the better!
