Dark of Night

Well its a slow day, working on Veterans Day, so I thought I would check out my favorite website. Sure enough Cindy is restocking and managed to get this one. I know that David has had good luck with it, anyone else have experience with it? I think I can get inky black blooms on it up here

Right on all counts, Chris. Cindy is home today and so is restocking today instead of Saturday.
Dark of Night makes a striking bush with dark, unusual leaves and I bet the flowers in your northwest climate will be fantastic in color. The only thing it does not do well is propagate so it will remain quite rare. You got 1 of 2 small plants available at this time. You may want me to match it up with the Magic Crystal and send it in the spring when it is considerably larger and stronger - just let me know.

That works for me Charlie, plus that saves a bit on shipping! I really like this one, some other photos I've seen on the web have been fantastic. Closest to a black cv I've seen so far.

That Dark of Night photo is Véronique's, Chris, all the way from France. It's growing in her greenhouse there. Beautiful, isn't it? :-) She sent it to me this morning. C'est si, si belle!!!!!

Wow Cindy,
You can tell her that she inspired me to get this one. I wasn't really sure about it based on the one pic of it in the gallery. After seeing hers I am a believer! I can't wait to get mine in the spring, hopefully I wont have to wait too long for it to bloom, especially after growing all winter in the warm greenhouse!
