I really like orange/brown colored flowers, but cannot decide between these two CVs.  It looks like they are both in the same size category and are also have very similar color schemes.  What is the difference Huh

I bought a 4' Cinnamon girl about a month ago and it already has buds!  I think this one is going to be a huge bloomer:)  Don't know anything about Pocahontas, but the flowers sure are pretty.

Good question! You zeroed in on 2 varieties that share several great qualities. The most noticeable one of those is how much each of these blooms. Many, many buds cover each bush of these varieties when grown in good conditions and they don't drop unopened buds. Both cvs have excellent, upright bushes and make many branches in response to pruning.

The difference is mostly in the colors of the flowers. Cinnamon Girl is not really a brown, but more of a golden tan with orange highlights depending on weather. It has a nice glow to it that makes it stand out. Pocahontas is the more colorful of the 2 flowers, with more oranges mixed in with the brown tones. Pocahontas also has the lusher bush although Cinnamon Girl is more vigorous and will grow taller.

It took hundreds of crosses and many seedling plants grown to find varieties that have as many good qualities as these 2. The bottom line is that if you like the flower photos the plants themselves will not disappoint.
